Hello everyone,I am new to the forum and just purchased a L.E. Raptor. My question is this, Do wheel spacers really make a big difference in handleing? I'am not sure if the quad will still fit in the back of my dakota with them. Has enyone tried just putting them on the back? Thanks....

I have the wheel spacer on mine, front and back, it's a cheap fix and I like them, if it were my truck I'd take a hammer to the fender walls and remodle, there is nothing more important than our play toys, just ask my wife.

02 Raptor, wheel spacers, Ct racing package 2, fullbody skids, holeshots, etc.

LOL. I agree with cha bass. I also agree that the spacers are a good cheap fix. I bought the 2 1/2" ones for all the way around. Usually they try to sell you the 1 1/2" for the front, but I found a part# for some 2 1/2" with the same bolt pattern as the front raptor wheel (these parts were oringally designed for rear of a rare year model banshee that has a large bolt pattern). Only bad thing is the bolts on all of them were a bit longer than I would have liked. Hope this helps ya.

I've got a 97 Dodge Dakota & when I have my Raptor in the back with sand tires I still have a couple of inches on each side. The sand tires are on douglass wheels that are 2" wider over all than stock, more backspace or is it less? whichever the mounting points are 1" closer than the stock wheels making it 2" wider.

Stealthraptor, I just picked up a set of spacer for my 02'aptor and I absolutely love them. It makes handling so much better. You can really kick the a&& end around now and it doesn't seem so tippsy. A better solution would have been the extened axle if you have the spare 400.00 to play with, but for a cheap fix, you can't go wrong

Get the easy fit style and you can remove them easily enough and reinstall when you get to the riding area. 2-3 minutes per wheel. If it doesn't fit.

Is there any truth that heavy jumping should be avoided when you use the wheel spacers?? I have heard that they are can add extra stress to the axle that it wasn't designed to encounter. Probably because you would be adding leverage in the same way as using a breaker bar instead of a ratchet.

Has anyone had any broken or bent axles using the spacers while jumping??

I would like to widen the stance on my Raptor as well and a new DuraBlue Axle is not in my near future.
