i have a question about the suzuki lt250 and the tecate 250! would eaither one of these quads smoke my piped, jetted, and filltered lakota? and if i get my new .020" over 10.5:1 piston, port and polish then would i be able to beat it?

unless you did SERIOUS Engine, intake, weight reduction and other work your gonna get your *** handed to you by either of those machines. those machines have a stock top speed that gives slightly modded banshees a run for their money. they are the Screaming 2stroke single cylinder machines most guys around these boards grew up on.. to make a long contreversy short, dont plan on beating either one of them on your Lakota.

I have to agree with 98. The Tecate is 2nd only to the Zilla. I seriously doubt a stock Raptor could outrun one. In tight woods could be diff. story, however in a drag you are, like 98 said, get your *** handed to you. I'm not sure even if you did everything possible to the Lakota that you could take either one of them.

Like the other guy's said you will get smoked.I bet your lakota weighs at least 100 lbs more than the bikes you metioned.A 2-stroke has twice as many power pulses than a 4 stroke,every time the piston goes down on a 2 stroke it is being pushed by the burning gas.A 4-stroke has a power pulse every other stroke.
