I've heard of people buying a K&N pre-filter and cutting the size that they need and glue it over the holes in the airbox. It will keep dirt out and air in. It's a jimmyrig but it seams to work.

uni makes filters that are made just for this. you drill a one inch hole and install these filters and oil them just like you would a regular uni filter. have them on both my quads. found them at most bike shops and from rocky mountain atv

I'v got 5~1" univents in mine. Put them at the back of the lid so their not blocking air flow from the snorkle. I've also heard that trinity has a 5" vent that works well.

edit: I'll go out & take some pics & email them to you tonight.

You can buy an air box cover made of the same material as the outerwears. It covers the whole lid, in place of the lid. Alba has one for sure $18 bucks if memory serves. I'm sure many others have one. Ive found no pictures of one. I'm told it velcros to the air box.

I've tried 3 times to send the pics to you. Last night I used the AOL address in your profile & I guess you didn't get that one. I tried twice this morning on your hotmail address you gave & got back a failure to deliver notification.
E-mail me at racevw14@msn.com & I'll send you a reply with the pics.

Hey Moose,
Sorry, I gave you the wrong address. The correct address is badfordman400@hotmail.com
I forgot to add the "400"
What brand airfilter should I buy?
Do you think I could get a Pro-flo to fit.(I'm not to happy how the "stock filter" seals to the airbox)
Are there any foam filters that flow as well as K&N?
Does the K&N filter the dirt good enough?

Well I'm glad we got that straight! I'll take a pic of my Pro Flo adaptor & filter & add it in the next try.

Let me know if you get them.

K&N make exelent products. The K&N style is best for dirt & dust, & the foam is best for sand. If you use an outerwear either should be fine.
