am i the only DS in Louisiana? everywhere i go ride i only see raptors, banshees and 400ex's. anyone else around the new orleans area have a DS?

 

No your not alone. I to own a Ds650. I live in Shreveport La. and I ride at La Dunes every weekend that I can. My older brother is looking into buying a Baja edition soon. So no your not the only one here. I have seen a few riding at the dunes and in Kasatchie National Forest.

How far are the Dunes from Shreveport? Im 3hrs from Shreveport.

 

Hey guys love to see yall at the dunes. I have yet to see a fast DS there. Nothing personally most of the ones I have seen were either stock or just piped. Drop me a email next time yall plan on going and I will let yall know if I can make it.

 

I'm going this sunday. I'll be the fatman on the dunes. If you go I'll probably get there around noon. My cousin is coming up from Lake Charles on his Raptor. He Will show up a little later than me. I only have paddles on my ds so far. Plans for pipe and jet kit are in the works. Hopefully by the end of the month i will have it.

 

Sorry Forgot. Shreveport is about two hours from the dunes. All interstate except from Alexandria to forest hill.

 

Gives us info on these dunes in La. Size, rules, camping?

 

Trust me they aren't huge. Around six are seven 40ft. hills. Good for a day trip or maybe two. Campgrounds next to the dunes. Tents, rvs, or trailers water hook ups and electrical. Its nothing like little sahara or glamis. maybe 40 or fifty acres. trails through the woods and if you have a 4x4 a creek to ride along. But alot of fun for a weekend and some decent crowds and good drag races.

 

I haven't been to la dunes yet, mostly because of the weather we have had this winter.

I mostly ride the spillway in new orleans and the local tracks. Let me know when yaqll make a trip. I work 7&7 but can make most trips.
