How was the big event at Little Sahara this weekend? Did any of the forum members get together? Any drag racing? Bragging rights? Tall tales? Anything?

 

I was there with my Baja, seen four others and alot of DSs. They were certainly holding their own in the drags...my buddies with a modified Raptor and a modded Banshee both got beat by my baja with a pipe and a lighter rider. With my big *** on it, I lost to the Raptor by a bike, and the Banshee by two. As a matter of fact, One is selling his Raptor for a DS and the other is buying one to ride when he's not draggin the 'Shee.

There were two DS in patricular that were strappin some *** whippins on guys, didn't catch their names but they were both quick.

 

I was there all day saturday. The turbo charged DS 650 was the fastest DS that I seen there. A couple of turbo charged banshees were out too, but a little too rough to go that fast on saturday. I was out there all afternoon on a black raptor racing. I was the raptor running on alcohol[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] I had a blast, hated to go but it started raining[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]. As far as saturday goes, there was a blue raptor , it had a white decal on the side (looked like a head with flames) and no yamaha graphics and me on my black and white raptor, I think we were the fastest raptors there on saturday. Way too many banshees to even talk about, heck they were all pretty fast

I was their also, And the orange ribbon idea was a BUST[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]LOL I was the only one with a ribbon.he he. Anyway I met up with JBOMB and his buddy ROB, they had the trickest DS's I had ever seen. I wish I had a dollar for every head they turned. Oh, and they were fast too. I saw and talked to a guy with a ORANGE raptor that had a 720 big-bore with stock modified carbs and he was fast, but not as fast as Jbomb and Especailly ROB!! I can tell you that the Orange Raptor put about the same 8 lenghts on me as Jbomb, but Rob would put about another 3-4 on them. I think I remeber seeing a really fast Raptor on sat. I can only assume that was Vilnrk. Scooby's top end was only matched with the top 10% of the fastest bikes(that includes banshee's), I think once he gets his take-offs down, he will be a dangerous man!

As for me I did pretty good for what I call the stock class(pipe,jet,filter).

We had a great time to. We had to leave early because of the rain. We need to get together again and ride, maybe we can get some more DS riders together.

Dude! you left too early, I want those footpegs! Anyway lets definatly get together again and this time with a alot more DS riders, but I welcome any ATVconnection Raptors,C'dales and Shee's etc. well get one on those HUGE camping Pavalions on the south-end and have a hell of a time!!

Biggerisbetter, that sounds like a good plan! Did anyone get any action pictures/videos of the drag racing?

 

I'm ready now, but I have to wait a while. I got in trouble with the wife for not calling. She thought I got killed, But set the date and I will be there.

 

BF, sorry man , NO pictures,or video's, but without a doubt, their was some serious machinery there, and Jbomb,and Rob had two of the best-looking ones. We need to decide on either memorial weekend if you want to see all the EXOTICS, but if you guys want better sand and less people I would suggest the weekend before or after M'day. I am game for just about any date, so you guy's think it over and LETS RIDE!!
