REV limiter????
#1
can someone please tell me where to find a new ignition, i want to get rid of my rev limiter, or at least set it higher. also, what are the prices, i dont have much money so i prefer a cheaper one. if anybody could also give me the website for it that would be cool. also my DS engine is stock for now, will i notice a difference? like rev quicker or more top speed? any help would be appreciated. thanx

I think Alba still sells them, Knutz & Woods.
Albaaction.com
rotax.net
knutzconcepts@msn.com
They are all around $300, give or take a little. Don't know if you'll see any difference in power due to a stock bike. It'll get rid of that cut out at the top. But to see a big power again, add a K&N, Pipe & change your gearing. Then you'll see a major change when you swap out the rev box.

Four I know of : Ron Wood Racing, Pami, Graydon, Alba.
Only the Graydon has a rev limiter - set to sign off at 9300rpm. All others have none, so you'll want a kill switch - another $40.
RWR and Pami are around $300. Alba is $400, and graydon is around $370.
RWR and Pami both offer advanced timing at different degrees of RPM, for maximum gain throughout the rev range. Alba and Graydon could not give me an answer on this question - too technical for the minds of the representatives I spoke with, and they couldn't get somebody to answer it either.
That being said, RWR and Pami seem to offer the most benefit for reasons other than the lack of rev limit.
