Special Olympic ATV Ride June 29th.
#1
It will be a little like last year, $10 bucks per bike donation, (ALL MONEY DONATED GOES TO THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS).
We will meet at Gunnison City park (North end of town can't miss it), we will leave the park at 9:00, go about 8 miles east to the town of Mayfield, there we will unload the bikes and ride from there up the mountain, the ride should take about 5 to 6 hr.
It is not for the first time ridder speed range from 0 to 40Mph mostly under 10 on the trails, Last year we had great fun and everyone had plenty of food,(LUNCH IS PROVIDED).
Let me know if your interested, before the 15th of June so we can have enough food and drinks.

Last year we had some show up and it was there first time ridding, they did ok but some complaind we were going to slow having to wate to much. I would like everyone we can get, I just think it would be funner if we had ridders of simmiler skill levels, we won't be on the roads to much there are a lot of trails and some that demand you have some skills, 1st half of the day won't be to hard 2nd half we will do 2 groups one for ok riders then the other will be going on the trail from he!!, as we call it(only if the snow is gone)

Thanks for the info. I was just thinking about bringing my wife along. She is a beginning level rider. She has been on a ride or two but nothing much over that. Can a 2wd ATV make this ride?
I hunt elk over in that area so I have been on some of the trails. Granted I hunt up higher by 12 mile flat and to the south. Just wondering where the "trail from He!!" is located. I have never ridden an ATV up out of Mayfield. My club is riding over there in July but it would be fun to go earlier. Myabe we can spot some elk while we are riding?
