hi, i was wondering if i could put a sound system under the seat of a quad? i mean, when its off, because you sure wouldnt hear it when its on... that would be cool, a tape or cd player under the seat, the controls on the dash. and a headphone plug in, or a headphone plug in for your helmet. It would be sweet if you had a street legal draggin raptor w/black plastics, system under tha seat rollin down tha street.

that would be sweet if you had enuff money to spend on it and if you had an extra quad to spend the time on putting a system into. but you would have to do some major work to fit a system under the seat. have you ever looked under a seat of a quad. So if your rich, had an extra quad and have the time on your hands, go for it.

why not but a hard plastic storage box and put your system in that. You could cut out the holes in the side for the speakers. I know that the have a jeep boombox that is pretty cool too.

I saw a Recon come into the shop awhile back that had a big plywood box covered in carpet mounted to the front rack. The tape player was mounted in the box like you would mount one in a car. You could reach it over the handlebars. He had an amp sitting in the box along with a pair of 6x9 speakers and one 10" woofer. We played with it in the shop. Nice set up.

But who would want all this crap on an ATV????????

I kinda felt sorry for the chap. Knocked 20 bucks off his service bill.

I'll build the box for $100.

Sorry dude, bad idea. Think about what is under your ATV seat. Motor? Heat? Burnt wires/speakers?
