400EX jumping capabilities...
#1
Im really starting to get air on my stock 400ex. Today on a normal dirtbike jump (which they can all clear) I hit it a little too fast. After the jump, there is about 20 feet of flat area to land before a large bump which is about like a 2ft tall 4 ft long speedbump and then its flat again. Well my first jump of the day I went too fast and landed right smack on the bump. I landed fine, very suprisingly smooth and easy. I inspected my bike and checked my pants (hehe). Both were fine. I want to know if it is safe to attempt to clear the bump. I only need about 4 more ft and I will have it. I will be about 6 ft up, I weigh 150 lbs and everything on the bike is stock. The other side of the bump is flat. Is the swingarm, rims and suspension up for the challenge? Thanks for reading my long message!!

I jumped my truck one day and I measured it from peak to peak was 38 ft. I wouldn't worry too much about it breaking the 400ex. If you just started getting air I doubt youll get enough to hurt it.They are tough!
