need info - hydraulic brakes on a blaster?
#1
I have a blaster and I am tired of not getting good braking. I heard you could get a hydraulic brakes for it. Does anyone know who makes the kit, or do you have to adapt another bikes system on it? Any info is greatly appretiated. thanks

"TRENGA" makes the rear hydro kit for the blaster... really quite expensive.
Other people have talked about adapting other settups from bikes and quads...
search the posts....there is another person doing something with blaster brakes....he might be able to help.

I have the old Trenga Racing brakes...they work great.....I've heard from many people who have the newer style say they dont work good...I dont know never tried them......The front conversion kit isnt cheap...I paid $500...comes with banshee callipers, hubs, break lines which i recommend replacing, master cylinder and mounting brackets. I got them from Scott's, but I've heard they quit selling them, but I'm not sure.

Don't get the Trenga brake kit. The old ones worked but the new ones do not. After about 6 months of struggling with the Trenga kit, I fabricated my own hdraulic rear brake. Take a look at my page: blasterville.freeservers.com

Same here. My Trenga Gen II rear brakes are sitting on the shop floor. After messing with them for a year, I tossed 'em and converted over a set of warrior rear brakes.
EdSmith will tell ya, the conversion is seriously trick. And works extremely well.

I also have front hydraulic disc using an modified version of the late scott kit.
