anyone take a chain apart on their C-dale

I got the plate off at the master link, but cant get the two pins out, do you have to have a tool. sorry if this is elementary, but I havent done it before.

No tool is needed, you may need to pry it with a screwdriver some, or kinda try some pliers to pry it loose. Nothing is holding it together but the clip you already removed. Good luck...

Sometimes you can take the chain masterlinks apart and back together without the tool; sometimes the $15 tool is actually the better plan...

Hammers, screwdrivers and visegrips are not chain tools.

Mine was a total pain to remove and when I went to put it back I bent the retainer. Well that broke when I tried to fix it. New master link 4.95.
