How do u know when u blow a shock

i think i blew the shock on my mojave because when u tighten it all the way it has a really loose feel can someone tell me what to look for thanx

well, there should be no pressure either way the shock goes. maybe some fluid leakage, lots o` bounce on that corner..... just a guess..
