kaw 650 vs sportquads?
#1
Hi guys;
Saw an interesting topic in the Honda forum( Prairie 650 vs 400ex). Apparently people are piting them against each other in drag races. I think this says alot for the 650. Anyone here race a sport quad yet? If so tell us about it. Spotted a Banshee and a Warrior in my neighbourhood the other day. I'm going to look for them this weekend to see for myself. They ride in a sand and gravel pit, and there is some loose gravel on the gound (might be around 500-600 ft).
Ps; Anyone tried the spider tracks tires on the 650? Heard they ride rough on other machines.
KVF650
Fiberglass Fairing w/windsheild and mirrors
Kimpex trunk seat
2000 lb superwinch

A friend of mine has a Raptor and he blows me away in every gear, even when I'm in 4WD Low! Of course I've pulled his broke-@$$ back to the house after he burned out his clutch, twice. If I had a some more performance mods I could stand a chance. Plus he can do like 70-75MPH.

LOL!! Actually, it says even more about the EX, like man is this thing slow! About the only thing your gonna see if you go up agaist a Banshee or a Raptor is roost, unless you can lure them into a mud bog.

What's up:
I'm with Coolinthewoods, I don't think your Mo beat that 650p. A 400EX will beat a Mojave. I'm not hear to say the Mojave sucks because I own one and I really like my Mojave, but unless you have that thing modded up you wont beat a 400EX unless the rider dosen't know how to ride. Now if your Mojave has some work done to it like Lurch's Mo then it's a different story. Take a look at the June issue of ATV Sport. The story about the 650p. In the Mag they wrote that they were able to beat stock Raptors when they had paddle tires on out at Glamis. Thats pretty good for a 600 pound quad with only a pipe, holes in airbox and fatter jets.
All I'm saying is its a little hard to believe you beat this prairie, so easy.
