I am changing out my pipe and headers on my ex. I was told that I needed to change out the copper gasket that fits between the headers and the manifold. I took off the stock headers tonight and I didn't see these gaskets on my bike. I was wondering if they are smashed down on the headers or manifold or if the stock pipes didn't come with these gaskets. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The two copper gaskets are in the top end where you removed the header pipes, they are hard to see because they are smashed in there and look like part of the engine, I just pried mine out gently with a flat tipped screwdriver.

Found them, thanks. I just wanted to make sure before I started prying. There was too much carbon. Thanks for the help.
