Hi Im new, just bought a 2002 rubicon. I have 14 hrs. on it.
Since about day number 2 I have noticed a ticking sound comeing from
the front end not the motor, when I slow way down. Like say you were stopping at a stop sign. Just as your ready to stop completely it makes that click click click sound? Its not a grind or a clunk just some ticking. Took to dealer and he said something along the lines of, its a normal noise, most of them do it. Add some GM limit slip stuff in it? Please help

Its NOT a normal noise. Is the ticking in the engine or up by the front drive area?

Hey friend. I also have a Rubicon. The front prop-shaft from the transmission to the differential had a cable that was sagging, making contact with this shaft. This cable tends to move around as the machine is operating. This may possibly produce the clicking noise. Hope this helps you out.

Thank you, I will check, I also will lift front end off the ground and pull tires? Mabey loose brake parts? It has me concerned.
However, when under throttle it does not do it. It dont even do it when slowing down? Only when coming to a real slow stop? sounds like the front end is not fully dissingaging?
