i'v been hearing both sides that the 400ex is faster than again the z400 is faster. what is better of an overall bike, like for mx or trail riding?

 

i'll let you know after this weekend. but, i've ridden mine around my complex it seems more responsive than a 400ex (my lt-z400 is still stock and the 400ex that i've been on has a pipe k&n filer and jet kit). the ride feels the same but i won't be able to fully tell until i get it out in the dirt and sand. this is truly an unbiased opinion even though i own an lt-z400. i'm not a zealot.

Although I have not ridden either machine, I can't see the 400EX winning. The Z400 is just sooooooooo much more advanced.

The Z will struggle in the tight woods. It doesn't have much low end. It sits higher then a 400ex I don't care what the specs say....

 

Ive heard that the seat height is a few inches lower than the 400....

 

It's supposed to be between a quarter and half inch lower then the 400ex. It's not, I had one, I know..
