Rincon Top Speed?
#5
88 MPH, are you kidding?
Now I heard from the neighbor's sister's mother's uncle's cousin's grandmother that with the aerodynamic front end and the "surprise" overdrive gear in the automatic style transmission, not to mention the air induction system mounted in the airbox to increase airflow at speeds in excess of 88 mph, it is suppose to top out at 102 mph when equipped with the optional 27" (17" 6 bolt steel rim)highway tire kit.
OK, so obviously that was a load of bull. I would honestly put the top speed around 65 mph. Honda has a lot at stake now with the new machines coming out. There has been talk of how Honda has fallen behind in the power department. I don't expect them to take this lying down. That Rincon is a sweet looking machine.

You fellow's must be bored where you ride if you want to run 50 or 60MPH you must ride on asphalt a lot. Where we ride the machine that can come out of a turn or around a tree and hit 35 to 40MPH in a short straight is going to lead the pack.

Well we ride in the woods and mud aolt and the fire breaks wich are all sand roads. but after five or six hours we are usually fourty miles from home or more and we all decide when to head for home and then we race kind of the deal is we all go to are cabins get showered and ready forthe night of partying and meet at the selected resturant and the last couple to arrive buys the appatizers but the first couple buy the first round of drinks so it is alot of fun.

Jeepman there is scads of terrain in the US that's well set for high speed cruising, from the trails in central Alambama to the massive trail systems in the northern midwest states (MN, WI, U.P., ect. ) to 160 miles of monthly fenceline maintanence. There's plenty of reason for a WORK quad that will "open up" and get there. There are of course areas like WV that have only two directions in the entire state, Up and Down, they may be suited for a less speedy machine.
Mudstomper, I'm not of the oppinion that the SP700 is the best, but I'd actually take the steel skid plate on the bottom, the grizz's plastic A-arm guards make the honda's (indectructable)plastic guards look like tanks. I'm quite sure that much of the craptors motor mods will work their way into the grizz, allowing for a truely fire breathing bear, and the grizz doesn't suffer from craptor tranny issues either. I've got plans floating anyhow.
