Fender Rubbin
#1
I just bought a '96 Forman 400 4x4. I love it. It's got all the power that I could ever want, plenty of throttle response, and 4 whell drive is a godsend. (Did I mention that my last quad was an '87 350 Moto 4?) Anyway, one thing that kinda sucks is that, when I ride over a steep drop-off, the "fender extentions" or "mud flaps" watever you want to call them, hit the dirt pretty hard. I think that these are relatively benificial in keeping the sticky stuff outa my socks so I really dont want to take 'em off. But I don't want to tear off a fender either. Any suggestions, comments, or ideas?

I have the same problem. Sometimes my rivets pop. Then you just replace them. I would by all means keep the black mud flap part on. I also love my Foreman. What kind of tires do you have on? Right now I'am ridding bald stock tires.

I've done it know! This weekend, on a very steep incline, I broke a front fender "strut", that little bitty piece of rod that stiffens the fender. Looks like I'm gonna have to take all the plastic off to get to it to weld it. That Sucks. Do you think anyone makes fender extentions that are not so stiff? I'm thinking about taking the stock ones off and putting some kinda soft rubber ones on.
I'm running Kenda, "Bear Claws". They do pretty good in the mud and are not so aggresive that they tear up the grass too bad. I use this bike to mow grass as well as playing in the mud.
