You can find a KLR box at your Kawi dealer or check around online for a dirtbike salvage yard. I have bought parts from a place called Cycle Salvage in CT. Their phone is 203-993-1600. They deal in street bike only, but since the KLR is a dual sport, they might have a box. Used is usually half of new. Although I am not famialar with the wiring on the Mojave/KLR, I had to swap a couple of wires when I put a 300ex box on my 250x. You might have to do the same if the mojave has a reverse rev limiter (since the KLR doesn't have reverse). You might be better off to call someone like Sparks Racing. They have high-rev boxes for many different models.

You can order the klr250 black box from any Kawasaki dealer. Its pretty pricey. I think mine was $250.

Actually is eliminates the rev limiter. I think stock is like 8500-9000 rpm

It's much cheaper to just send your mo box to Mickey at FST and for 80 dollars you get the rev limiter removed. I think the timing on the klr box is a little more aggressive but not enough to make a real difference and may cause detenation on a mo using pump gas.

If you have the big web cam and never hit the stock rev limiter you are short shifting before the best part of the power band is used up. The rev limiter will come in while it is still pulling hard.
