Question about a 400EX for a friend.

Thats a tough one with so little information.
Hmmm...lets see....make sure he don't have a loose intake boot. Did he make sure he was'nt low on fuel? Is his gas cap clogged? Is the air filter very dirty? Is the engine on/off switch in the "on" position (I hate too admit I have done that before)? Next, I would clean the carb....especially the idle circuit.

Maybe he has a dead battery, unless that's what you mean by "Fire", or then, he might have a bad starter relay, I had one of those on my old 300EX. I hope this might help.

When I say it has fire. I mean there is a spark at the plug. It cranks, so not a dead battery or starter. There is a very good spark in the plug. Its getting gas, you can smell it when the plug is out. It should start and run, but doesnt. Any other ideas?
