What's up with raptor part back orders? (Carillo rod and Yamaha 02 reverse gear)
#1
Well, it's been awhile since I have chimed in or posted anything here, but I thought maybe someone "might" just have some info.
This is getting out of control! How freakin long does it take for Carrillo and Yamaha to manufacture these parts?
I have been waiting for over a month, for the rod, and Yamaha is no better with a back order on just the 02 reverse gear. I have had the the entire 02 gearset (minus the reverse gear) for over a month.
Due to my (not so lucky and expensive) experience, I cannot even consider using a stock rod, nor the stock 01 gear set (since the 01 tranny can't handle the power of a stock raptor and the rod failed on my old "mild" 686). I can't even imagine what kind of problems I'd have with my (on order) medium built 727!
Does anyone have any updates as to when Yamaha and Carillo might get thier heads out of thier rear-ends?
Thanks
