AKA LRD pipe, Graydon Proline or whatever is still new. If it's not FMF or Sprock, it's a power pros. Anyone have one to comment on it's performance compared to other pipes for the KXF. I had an FMF but took it off, I now have a Sprock which is great for mid range and top end. My Tecate still has good lowend thanks to a 35mm carb, 14/46 sprockets and a little tweaking by killerkx. The damm thing is friggin' fast now. It makes 250R look like a 250X. However, I trail ride and the more lowend the better. I'm not interested in winning 1/4 mile drag races.

I've heard the power pros gives awesome lowend and midrange gains while still giving good topend. True? sounds a little idealistic to me.

It's running great. real strong acceleration. My friend w/ the Banshee was a bit humbled. When my other friend was riding though, I think I heard a little sputter in the midrange. I'm assuming that means it's a bit lean like you said. Ofcourse it could be rich too. I got oil deposits on the end of my silencer too. The pilot may be a bit rich. I'm tempted to put my 50 pilot from my old carb in but that might be too lean. I'm gonna buy some new plugs on monday and do 1/4 throttle and full throttle plug checks. But I could take out my plug now and get a basic idea of how my jetting is, right? If the tip of the insulator is brown (good main jet), would the color of the base of the insulator tell me how the needle is?

BTW, I take it you've never used a power pros?

Default Power Pros pipe for tecate 4

The powerpros pipe is one of the best pipes made for the Tecate !!! It is available in many finishes including ceramic (not quite as bright as chrome but it won't blue or peel). As well as silencer options-spark arrestor, quiet etc. ILR performance usually has them or can get them, you can reach him @(253)735-5549. The problem with powerpros is they build their pipes 1 at a time and you usually wait 4-6 weeks. Dave usually has a few in stock he is a die hard tecate guy !!!
