I know its a MUCH talked about subject, but what do you recomend for Mostly trail riding? Some hills but I just want to whip around on trails and do some jumps? I want it to take a good beating..Good reliability?

For the hills the ds is better. For the trails i think the Raptor cause it is not as wide. They are both very good bikes, but like everything there are pros and cons. U should go to a shop and see if they will let u try them out

The DS is great if you ride in wide open areas, or are looking for a stretched out riding posision. It is very heavy, though.

The Raptor is great if you like the standard quad seating posision and want a four stroke that will stay with Banshee's & R's. It is very tippy, though.

I can't belive im saying this but for trail riding the rappy.it is narrower and less likely to turn you upside down on yhe trail.

The ds is a very well built machine it is geared to tall for trail use
I have to slip my clutch constently in the tight stuff and the machine with its weight gets to be a hand full towards the end of the day.

3atv the ds has put me on my head more than once its those hidden objects under bushes that the ds hits because its to wide for most forest trails and one sides in the bushes most of the time.i stay away from forest trails these days if i do go there its real slow.but you have to under stand im a desert rider wide open!!!!!and im scared of trees.i ride my 426 in the hills now can you say forest fire !!!i think i need a 500 polaris sportsman next purchase.

I know what your saying but im thinking 4x4 utlity quad i will be giong just a little slower.and crawl over objects rather than smashing in to them.its a mental image i have but i could be wrong.all my friends have went to hunting quads and on long rides they are nice!and with all my accidents this year im slowing down a little next year.

I would say the Raptor for trail riding. My Ds kicks my *** in the tails here in NH but couldn't imagine having any other Quad
