I hope to get my hands on it here soon. I tried to contact the seller twice now, but he still hasn;t repied to my messages. I told him I can drive to Michigan tomorrow with the cash in hand. I'm wondering if he is waiting for the $1000 deposit. Does it matter if I make the deposit or just drive up there with the cash? I dont want to wait 3-4 business days for paypal to withdraw it from by credit union. Here is the link.

Yeah, I plan on a pipe, CDI unit, and A arms. That is if this guy ever emails me back. He has lots of positive feedback and I saw a few that said he replied very quickly by email. I'll give it some more time and see what happens, maybe I'll offer to western union the deposit since paypal is so slow.

sounds like you have some plans for the thing but one of the first things you NEED to do is get ride of the stock tires .. they suck ... i personly have a set os 22in realtors on my 2000ds and i can not complan at all so much easyer to wheelie the thing with a good set of tires and pipe. ect ..

If the steering is anywhere as near as darty as the DS 650 that I test drove, then i definitely will replace the upper A arms. If I can adjust it so its not too bad then I'll put the money towards better tires.

yea you can ajust the shocks to your weight and riding style and it will kill the darty stering .. ask hightower or just look up shock ajustment in the old threats .. save the money and by some tires and stuff ..
just my 02.

Rocky:
Adjust your toe-in and the steering issue virtually goes away. Put the money into something else. I still have the stock tires but would rather run them until they are wore out before buying new.
Good luck with your new ride.

As far as the stock tires go, I sold my rears on eBay for $72 and I plan to save the fronts for my Mojave. Selling the ones you don't plan to use is a pretty decent way to not waste them. Having them rotting & take up extra space in your garage or yard, now that would be a waste.
