can anybody else get their front end up or even pull a hint of a wheelie??? i just don't have the armstrength i guess, but i want to know if anybody can ( a stock 700 that is)

 

and yes i'm going to say before anybody else does that the machine wasn't intended for this kind of use, but still...i'm curious if mine has just 1 less ball than anybody else's who can

Weezer, my buddy has a 700 and he can't get it to wheelie either. I have watched him take off from a dead stop, and with the independant rear suspension, his quad just sucks down to the ground and takes off. He has different springs in his clutch too. He gets annoyed cause I can do wheelies no prob. That's the difference between IRS and straight axle. I wouldn't worry about it cause it is still bloody fast!!

 

I cant beleive that, i have a whinch on my stock 99 sportsman non-ho and i can stand it up until the rack hits the ground. You must have something wrong w/ the 700.

 

I have a bone stock 700 and I have no problem poping the front and up in low range. Have you tried loading up the clutch slightly with the brake on and pop the brake off and gas it at the same time, if you can't get it to wheely doing this than you have a clutching problem. Myself I just slow right down then gun it and I can carry the front end with ease.

 

freinds 700 would wheely easy in low range when stock and not bad in high. now will do it easy in high. my 500 will rip the rack no prob in high with 27 titans. people look at you like you have two heads when riding a sp in a wheely.
you will need to plant the back end befor starting. you need to pre compress the rear arms befor gassing it. if not you use the initial snap to compress suspension. place your right foot on the back rack. squat the back out all the way with your weight. then bring rpms up to just befor engagement and hall back and mash the gas at the same time. be ready to hit the brake to bring yourself back down.

Normal riding position, mine gets real light in the front, in low range. Put it on pavement and it will come up! I haven't tried these other riding positions, but i feel like it would stand up like they said. It's a big heavy bitch!
