I am knew to the kawi forum because I have been a devoted Polaris owner for 3 years now and been hanging out over there in that forum. But as of Sat.6/01/02 I am now a owner of a 650 and am having some doughts if I made the right decision in buying it.I would like some feedback from some of you guys that have owned these things for a while on how well you like them, maybe it will make me feel better about my decision. Thanks in advance for any comments!

I've had my P-650 since early March. AWESOME bike. I am well satisfied with its performance so far! It STILL impresses me every time I take it out! I love the LACK of body-roll, when broadsliding. I inspires confidence. You will need to buy some REAL tires for it though. The DUNFLOPS are terrible!!!!! See my signature for what I and nyroc use. Mine are in 26"
Just ride it.......you will fall in love!!!!!!!

mudholebull,

Don't worry about it. I too was/am a devoted Polaris fan. I still have my Polaris, and most of my family and firends back home ride them. But after riding the 650 I was hooked and bought one for myself. You made a good decision. I am glad your not blinded by brand loyalty. There are very few, if any machines out there that are overall worse then the others. You will be happy with the 650.

Why are you having doubts about buying your P650...? Is it because you read about a lot of problems people are having in the kawi forum...? Well I have had my p650 for over a year now and I have over 70 hours on it and over 800 miles and I haven't really had any problems worth losing sleep over. I had my shifter linkage adjusted and it probally didn't even need it cuze i rode for 600 miles before I got it adjusted and there was no probs, just a click every now and then, but that is now fixed for free. other than that the bike has been great. I am now noticing the squeel at take off sometimes, but thats cuze my belt deflection is way off and i prob need a new belt, big deal though, let it squeek the bike still feels the same as when i bought it and it still does high range wheelies. I'll get a new belt at maybe 1000 miles. If i have any probs in the future and I probally will, just like any machine as it gets older, Hopefully whatever goes wrong will be covered under warranty or i'll fix it myself....I am super pleased with my purchase and have no doubts. I rode a Sportsman 700 and you should be glad you got the p650. there is no comparison between the two the p650 IMO is a way better machine....Anyway be happy with your bike and ride ride ride. I dunno if you got a extended warranty, but I did and I'm going to ride the p#ss out of it. Have fun with your new machine

Why are you doubting your purchase? I had my money on a griz 660 but after riding the 650 it was obvious what my choice should be.
The power of this machine is amazing. The front dif lock impresses me every time I use it. Every time I ride it I have this large smile stretched across my face....

I loved my 500ho. When I wrecked it I was going to buy another one but my dealer was trying to give me the shaft. So I went out looking for a new Polari dealer. Thats when I saw the add for a kawi650 6300 out the door. I decide to go take a look. Kawi dealer said want to taker for a spin if you do you will buy one and not look at polaris again. Dam he was right I love this machine.
