Big Bears
#2
For what it was, my old 350 4x4 bear was terrific. I rode it for four years, and the only unexpected repairs were the carb boot and front brakes. It wasn't the fastest, or the most glamorous, but it always ran when I needed it. Best of all, I bought it 4 years ago for $2500, and have two buyers interested in it at $2k, so it didn't depreciate much.

I have to agree with ya.. It is a good machine but not a very good trail machine... If you ride by yourself its great..but if you ride with other people its hard to keep up with them...I only wish it would of had a dual transmission...Good work machine though not a good play bike..Speed is not its high point. Its very slow..

Bigbear,i read a post you gave on your big bear, you said it only does like 35?there is something seriously wrong with it.my cousin has a 97 big bear 350 2wd and it goes about 45,i know cuz i've riden it many times, and yes its not as fast as other quads, but on trails you dont usually go that fast, and it does very well in every other aspect,it is a good trail machine, the best?no. but i think you need to have someone look at yours and get whatever is wrong with it fixed, and i think you'll be much happier with it

I have a 2000 350cc 4X4 Big Bear. Other than the engine being noisier than most which after a valve adjustment stayed the same, I think its a great machine. Its gotten me in and out of some nasty situations. Speed it doesn't have but reliability it does.
