I bought a new Polaris grease gun kit to grease my Scrambler. I greased all the fittings except one. How do you grease the rear axle bearing? The shock reservoir is in the way. My grease gun can bend some but the zerk fitting is in a tight location. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can go to an auto parts store and buy a flex hose for the grease gun. They run about $4, and they have a universal fitting to fit all grease guns.

I thought the zerk fitting for the bearing carrier was right out in the open?

All you have to do is roll the eccentric in the direction that loosens your chain and you will have access to it. That is all I do to grease it. It is kind of a pain, but hey, its gotta have grease.

FearSys, Do I need to loosen up the bolts to turn the axle like you would if you tightened/loosen your chain? The 400 Scrambler's are not blocked just the 500 and Trailblazer's that I looked at. Thanks

Like DUSE said, change the zirk. You can buy a 90 degree zirk for small change.

That is a great idea. When DUSE mentioned it did not register. How do you replace the existing one? Thanks
