Well i called my local C-dale dealers(if you want to call them local. Closest one 2-3 hours away) they didn't know anything about the refurb FX400 but one dealer said there are demo 2002 Cannibal. He says they take them back to Cannondale and go over them and replace anything they think my be bad. They sell them as new quads for $5,500 out the door price. What do you guys think. Good deal i don't know much about the C-dales i have a 400ex now and was looking at the LTZ400 but this is cheaper. He also was saying his C-dale rep was just in and he had a copy of the next dirt wheels where they test the Cannibal against the LTZ400 and the Cannibal wins every time on the track and in drag races. Who knows he could be saying that to get me to buy i guess we will see in the next DW. Thanks for your time.

It's a good deal. I'm the proud owner of one. I sold my 425ex one day, and ordered the Cannondale the next. If you ride one, you'll be hooked.

My refurb'd/demo Cannibal came with the hydraulic clutch, new Holeshot tires, new style plastic, new engine, and Ohlins shocks. All for $5,000. So your OTD price of $5,500 is good. Take it for a ride and really consider it.

$5500 is a good price especially if it has the Ohlin shocks. From what you described, it sounds basically like the refurbished program.
I don't think the refurbished program was strictly only the FX400's being refurbed, I believe it was demo Cannibals as well that got brought under the refurbished program umbrella.

As far as the Cannibal beating the Z400, Geez I'd hope so!!!! Look at it this way, if you can get a Cannibal with a more powerful motor, quality aftermarket parts already installed such as Ohlin shocks, steel braided brake lines, EFI, aluminum frame, holeshot tires, etc., the list goes on and on, for the same price ($5500) as the Z400, that my friend is a no brainer!!!!

Hmmmm. It is a no brainer if the track is your destination but, if you want a fast play quad, I would make sure you ride it first. It is powerful and the kind of power it makes can sometime put you in a bad spot. I have spent time on a cannible and they are a lot of of but somewhat squirrely due to the power. Having said that, I acknowledge that I am an intermediate rider, not a pro at all so, if youare experienced then this will be a lot of fun once it's setup(suspension, bars, stabilizer) If you are intermediate though, you will need to keep a lot of respect handy for it or it will hurt you.
