well, I need some jets to rejet my DS, and was wondering what to get. Should I just buy a handfull of Mikuni main jets, or should I buy a Dynojet, or a K&N jet kit? What is the difference between a dynojet, and K&N jet kit?

I've heard of some people having trouble with the Dynojet needle, and going back to the stock needle. What was wrong?

Also, does anyone know where, on the net, I could get a diagram of the stock DS carb? I found some diagrams, and a lot of good carb parts at www.carbparts.com, but no diagram for the Mikuni BSr42

Is there an advantage of one to the others?

K&N and Dynojet are the same kits. It's a personal choice. The k&N/Dynojet kits work very well(about 50 bucks) so does the stock mikuni jets/stock needle settings.(3 to 5 bucks a piece). The dynojet needle has a little more crisp low end response than the stock needle. But the stock needle has a very good mid to top end response. I have a picture of the stock carb on my website: DS carb diagram

Thanks buttfungus! On your diagram, there is numbers pointing to all the parts, but where is the labels for all the numbers?

What do you currently run? Dynojet, or Mikuni?
