Isn't it odd... The new Z400 hasn't been out for very long and already there is an abundance of aftermarket parts available. I've seen aftermarket pipe, cams, piston, crank and carb already. Even a 450cc kis is available. What's the deal. The DS has been out alot longer and dosn't have as many parts available as the Z400. This is nuts!!! Ok the steam is gone.

Its pretty simple really. Look at the volume of sales. If you were going to make money in the aftermarket which quad would you produce parts for. I wish there was more parts for the Bomb as well but the few mods i have done so far have really woke the motor up, as if it really needed it.

All the parts for the Z400 are coming over from the DRZ400. This dirt bike has been out for about two years I think? All they had to due was change the header pipe. Every part that works on the DRZ400 will work on the Z400 they have the same basic engine

I heard tale that Yoshi was involved with the development of the Z400. They definitley had a heads-up, 'cause the Big Papa kit wasout as soon as the bike was. Its a sweet kit, but why "Big Papa"? I think its smothered in cheese.

I understand the profit/volume issue. What I'm saying is that I wish Bombardier had put more $$$ in sales and marketing. I know a few people that didn't buy a DS due to the cost and availability of aftermarket parts. I also noticed that Dirt Wheels rag did a comparison of specifications and the DS was not included. I guess it's because he DS is in a league of it's own.
