Has any one washed the exhaust lobe off a cam yet? I have a 1999 500 scrambler and the exhaust lobe is gone. I have talked with several dealers and they say Polaris knows about the problem but can't give a reason why this happens. Any input would help. Thanks

Isn't that the lobe that the compression release rides on?

you now need to tear your motor down and redo your aluminum bodied oil pump that is now full of metal from your cam and rocker. this happens because the oil pump pickup is in the lower part of the motor that has no magnet in it to keep the metal away from it.
i got a 96 sp with a bad cam and then replaced it with a new one that wore the intakes off. they did come good for the cam and rockers but no oil pump for three bills.
i now have a good one
good luck getting them to come good for what they did wrong.
