If you tow with your truck you might want to read this

Actually I do have a beef with pickups over doing it. If you want to haul with the big dogs and weigh as much as a loaded dumptruck you may as well get it right, with adequit balanced brakes on every axle to stop, a road use tax for the increased pavement load. As well as liscensing for better than class "F" For crying out loud there's nada to say you can train a 15 year old with a learners permit for training with these pick up rigs, and that's about all the experience many large pickup combinations drivers have with their combination, god hope they don't have to actually stop one at better than a coasting speed.

I can't believe that one guy was complaining about getting a ticket for for not being able to stop from 25 mph in 100 feet. They are the first ones to cry now. How would they feel if their family was rear ended by someone in an overweight vehicle???? Or worse yet, if someone died as a result. In my eyes thats 100% negligence.

you are right on some things. Just this week-end a saw a guy getting passed by everyone on I-75. Why? He was pulling a 5th wheel camper with a 2WD Dakota !!!!!!
On the other hand some of those laws are crazy. I mean some of those guys ask what is legal & even the officials don't know for sure. Seems like another good way to sneak attack people & collect money. In Ohio it's not about peoples safety, it's about the money.
