I've mentioned operating ranges for the cooling system components in previous threads over the past few months, and recently realized the shop manual has conversion errors from the metric system.

Earlier I said the thermostat opens at 185, fan comes on at 221, and red warning light comes on at 239, because this is what the book says. Some of their conversions are wrong - actually the fan comes on at 203. I've confirmed this with my ESR temp gauge installed on the bike as well. See the post for "Shop manual errors" for more details.
