I'm considering a trip to Silver lake in July & was wondering about a few details... If I was to arrive in the area on a thursday (not before a holiday) would I be able to find a place to camp & would I be able to get into the park on Friday? How're the crowds on Thursday's & Friday's during the summer? Any lines?

I already know my bike is legal, what permits to buy, etc. I'm just trying to avoid the worst of the crowds.

hardly anyone around during week. sometimes you get in free because dnr arent even around. better call ahead on campsites. that area seems real busy. thursday and friday are good choices. post the days and we'll meet you. later wil.
