does anyone know of a company that makes a real bearing for the top of the steering stem? i replaced the nylon bushing/bearing (what ever it is) and i still have slop in my stem. i can see it wobbling inside the plastic two peice bearing. and i also tightened the nut on the bottom. any help would be great. i ride harescrambles and it really takes a beating.

 

I had the same thing happen to mine. When I bought a new bushing I repacked it with grease and reassembled it. No movement at all, I then let a couple of my friends know about this and they installed grease fitting in theirs. It appears that when the grease wears away the steering stem has too much room and moves around. Repack it with grease and your fixed until it wears away. I also checked my Banshee and wifes warior and found that they have the same type of bushing and same problem. Hope this helps you out I know its only a temp fix but it does work, just remember to repack the bushing every five rides or so.
