how do you get a raptors spark arrestor out

my owners manual says simpiley to remove the bolt and slide out the spark arrestor out apparently it is not that simple cause the @#$% thing is still in there anybody got any ideas

I used a small flat screwdriver to pry the arrestor away from the pipe and then tugged on it with a pair of vice-grips. It got bent up a little but I was able to straighten it afterwards.

A slide hammer with puller teeth works awesome, and won't damage it at all. I used one that made for pulling pilot bearings on a car.
