n00b here, just orderd a 03 Raptor, couple questions
#1
Just thought I'd say high....been lurking for the past week or so, and after ordering my Raptor this weekend I thought I'd join up.
The first three things I want to do to it are air induction, jetting, and pipes. What are your guys suggestions.
I llike the look/results of the sparks racing parts, what else is out there?

Everything is out there. Everyone has their own opion on what pipe is best. I don't know, I will say that I don't really care for my FMF not saying that you wouldn't. I think it is in agreement that you should get a Pro Flow adapter from Pro Design, with the K&N or the foam it depends onn your riding conditions. Do a search on each pipe that you like by name and see what you come up with, that might help.

Welcome to the club!!
Yes the Pro design adaptor should be first on the list, It's a much better design than stock (unless they've changed it for 03).
Trim the restrictor from the snorkle & put in a Dynojet kit.
My Sparks pipe is great!! Well made & the people are great to work with.
My A$$ dyno said WOW!! It made more power everywhere & sounds awsome!!
Go to the Sparks web site Go to the Raptor page, click exhaust & scroll to the bottom of the page to see what it looks like, click the pic of the raptor on the sand for a full size view (That's my Raptor!!).
Also if your going to be riding in rocky areas you must change the stock skid plates. the plastic is weak & you can damage the brake rotor easily with the stocker. The GYT-R parts are nice.
Have fun & ride safe!!

Thanks guys....I like the look of that Pro Flow, I'll prolly get the K&N with it b/c she'll very rarely see the dunes.
Moose, you quad looks TOUGH in that pic, I can't wait till mine gets here, stopped in today, and they said I may have it before the 4th

I agree with 727Banshee, get the Yosh full pipe. The most power without the most noise. You might not care about noise but there are a lot of places that have max db's and you can get fines if you are over! Plus it's good looking!

The Yosh pipe is a nice piece. Whatever you get make sure that it has a spark arrestor. Most organized or ALL National parks require that you have one BEFORE they let you ride. My Yosh pipe isn't too loud and has a spark arrestor...........great looks too.

Welcome weasel! If you are gonna be riding in dery dusty conditions, then the K and N is a thumbs down!
Insurance first, Pro-flo second, rear skid third. All of the aftermarket exhaust systems seem to really wake the Raptor up. I really like my E-series /w P-bomb set-up.
