I'm in the final stages of buying a 2002 KVF650 here in Montreal (yeehaa!). I've read alot in the forums that the stock rubber may wished to be changed. I ride 3 seasons on the trails and in the mud with fishing gear permanently attached. I plan on putting Armordillo skid plates after delivery and there's a winch deal going on right now. What suggestions would you make on the tires or anything else that I can negotiate before I finalize the deal. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....I'm 2 weeks out.

I think it will cost you more to have the dealer swap out your tires. I reccomend you do it yourself. If its not ready for a couple of weeks you should have time to order some new rubber

My P650 had the wheels & tires on it already. Wheels are steel. Do not get steel wheels! Holds front end down. Good for hill climbing, bad for wheelies. Personally, I prefer the wheelies!
