Springboy,
-I took the packing out of the tip of the muffler and put 6 3/8" holes through each baffle. See this.
-K&N filter
-Airbox snorkle enlarged (see pic 19). You can do a cleaner job than I did, since diamondgracing has a nice one they developed for the 650.
-Dynojet
My 650 does 63 (on a flat) with 26" tires, so it is probably 66mph. It once did 64 with stock tires.
The real power gains have all come at low and mid rpms.
I am still investigating whether I am jetted rich (or lean) at high RPM's and could go faster. It really runs well.
The Sur Traks are 2 ply. They weigh 21 lbs ea, so they don't rob power. they are 100% better than dunflops in every way, IMO. The mudrunners on the front are the lightest 26" front tire I could find. They are 22lbs. They are extremely good together. Very good diamter match, too. I can't hear the 4x4 engage, since the front and rear tires roll the same distance per rev.
