Ok, I've tried everything to get this main jet out, I stripped the main jet pretty good. I unscrewed the whole thing that the jet goes in before the jet came out, and I still can't get it out! Please help!!

Are you sure your removing the right jet? It sounds like your trying to remove the pilot jet and not the main jet. The main jet is normally very easy to remove with a straight edge screwdriver.

Ok, I called Ron Woods and talked to somebody and they were no help at all, finally, I got it out, by holding the brass cup with pliers, and the main jet holder with a wrench. Needless to say, I no longer have that jet either.

Sorry, I had to actualy work for a few. I did have that same probem and yep I ruind my 180 main. We took it ans set a rag on a rock, then took a screwdriver and put the blade where the slot used to be. We then tapped, well ok beat the he11 out of the driver to make a new slot that was very deep, then held the case with a wrench and heated it with a lighter, and it finally came loose. Just thought I woud say incase anyone else had this problem. Pissed me off big time!!!

The thing that the main jet screws into is the needle jet. This is what the needle moves in and out of. I always remove the needle jet with a wrench, then hold the needle jet in the wrench while taking a screwdriver to the main jet. Fortunately, I've never had a main jet stuck so bad the slot stripped.
If there is any damage to the needle jet, or its holes, replace it. Also, if the o-ring has any damage, replace it.

Just remember they are Brass! Not steel! So when you put the new one's in just barely over finger tightness.
