Extreme Haulers vs. Edges! It's the Skat Track Wars!
#1
I am hitting St. A's tommorow with Bat and on the way up I decided to stop off at Rocky Mountain ATV and I picked up a pair of 20x10x10 9-paddle Extremes. Now you have to watch out for the advertizing it is misleading I found out. The Extremes are the same paddle height as the regular Haulers! They just have a deeper cup and they are a new thicker durable design. I am going to test them against a pair of 20x10x9 10-paddle Edges my friend had borrowed me also. I will report back as to my findings either tommorow night or Sunday night. TTFN!

ABB, every ad I've seen on the Extreme Haulers listed the paddle hight the same as the regular Haulers. Look at them side by side & you can see a diffrence in the thickness of the paddles. The Taller Haulers do have a taller paddle hight, that's what you may have been thinking of.
The Extreme Haulers will make you want to give the guy his edges back!! The diffrence in pull is amazing. I run 8 paddle 22x11x10 Extreme Haulers with 21x7x10 Mowhawks on the front & have no problem turning.

Ok! The results are in! You fella's are right the Edges are not what they are cracked up to be. I give the Extreme's two thumbs up! I was with another guy who had the regular Haulers that he had just purchased and he tore off 2 paddles in one day! For the amount of money you have to pay for these things go with the Extremes! I was going through lava beds all day and didn't even nick those Kevlar enforced paddles. Go with a 9-paddle though you will notice a difference over the 8, and the 10 is just overkill. The only thing I don't like is going up a steep hill you have one hell of a time controlling were your going! The Skat Trak Extreme Haulers are the way to GO!

I believe the STU padla brats that demon is refering to are mine. They are stager cut but not comp cut. With all the riding that we have to do on gravel and hard pack I thought that the extra rubber would help. They are a little heavier but the traction is great. I will be curious also to see the out come of our comparisions this weekend. We will let you guys know monday how it went.

AngryBajaBoy,
Say it isn't so. Your friend that tore off 2 paddles in one day. Was that from just duning or because he chose to go accross the lava beds? I just purchased the regular Haulers and don't need that happening to me. TIA

DSaholic have you ever ran a v paddle? How do your Brats turn in comparison? I would like to get rid of my Sand Sharks but I don't know if I want to get sraights or not. I have never had the chance to try a set. I like to just ride and cut up more than drag so I still want to be able to turn well but also be in the front of the pack racing.
