I cant find one and the guy I bought my DS650 didn't even have a manual for it. I can usually find most of the info I need here but this forum can't help when we are camping in the mountains.

I don't think Clymer is making shop manuals yet, haven't seen them anyway.
I had to pay $50 at the dealership for the Bomb shop manual. If you get one, be aware that some of the conversions from metric to inch are wrong, so you have to double check every conversion in the book before relying on them. Other than that, its a pretty good book.
Or you could get a laptop with digital satellite link, and take it on the trails with you to hook up here in the event of troubles....

Hehe, it might just be cheaper to bring a spare DS with me. Is that shop manual the one for repair techs or is it the standard one everyone recieves with a DS?

Yeah, the shop manual I'm talking about is the repair manual for techs.

You can probably get an owners manual for free from the dealer, although they may have to order one 'cause they might not want to take one off a new bike on the floor that somebody may want to buy before a replacement comes in. The bikes come from the factory with the owners manual under the seat. That's what that narrow slot in the plastic behind the tool kit is for. The owners manual doesn't really have much in it though, but it does include a maintenance schedule, oil change instrucions, simple shock adjustment directions, stuff like that - all important info. Nothing on the lines of repair though.
