Giving me a workout when I throttle it and I try to hang on. I've doubled the size of my forearms.

I bought my Raptor after test riding a 400ex, z400 and Raptor back-to-back. It was on a street so I was unable to compare the handling but I rode the Rapter after the others and bought it on the spot. I could barely tell the difference in acceleration between the Suzuki and Honda but the Rapter, Holy Crap! It was tippy alright, the front wanted to come up and over in the first three gears. The Honda and Raptor had full pipes and were jetted which may have made a difference but it was a HUGE difference. It was also the best looking quad, bar none. IMHO.

I'm 33 and love the torque. I admit it scares me sometimes. I do a lot of trail riding and strait line romps on the gas. I've been hovering around this forum for a while and decided to post. I'm not trying to brag that I'm the fasted out their but of the quads I've riden, the Raptor was my favorite. But I'll sell it in a heartbeat if an affordable bad a$$ quad comes out. I'm not into working on a bike so other than jets, pipe and airbox I won't work on the quad.

Welcome to the sport! Raptors are a blast to ride. It'll be a while before you feel the need for more speed than your Yamaha can deliver. The best part is you're only an axel & a set of a-arm away from having the handling to go woth all those ponies.

Welcome to the Raptor club!!
At first I regretted selling my 250R but the Raptor is much better than the R for what I do!

My 12 has 195 rear wheel hp and does the 1/4 in the low 9's. .....but you arent bouncing around when you ride it...thus...making it easier to hang on to.lol

my shoulders are sore this morning... but I feel much better than I did after the first ride. You work muscles you didnt know you had on these things.

If you have off road numbers you can legally ride the backroads in our area. The Raptor is great for high speed rock road applications.

Its the perfect rock road cruiser.
