Well after trading in my bayou 300 for the sport 400L,I was thrilled with speed and excitment of my new ride.I have proceeded to mod this polaris a make it a awesome ride.All I could think of at work and school was go to ride.I still enjoy the rocketship like ride,but I was missing something.You know, that slow quiet ride that lets you admire nature.Well,the bayou has returned.It is 96 220 and I love it.I actually made it to the "back 40" yesterday evening and startled the deer out of the field.Believe me I have not done that with the modded sport.It is like the engine is not even on it is so silent.The deer gave me the holy crap look when I rolled by,I guess they were used to the advanced noticed the sport gave.I am a happy man now,I have the the best of everthing I want.Hmmm,do I feel like pinging around and enjoying the surroundings,or do I feel like holding on for dear life and hearing that awesome 2 stroke get on the pipe.Plus Mom can now come and ride.The bayou cost me 1150$ and the only problem is I cannot tell if it is running or not,to quiet and smooth.Later.

 

congrats! although i do hope you have better luck than i did with my Bayou.
my '95 400 Bayou's auto clutch drove my nuts! it was constantly out of adjustment. i would loosen the bolt, let the engine idle, (it's supposed to adjust automatically), then tighten the bolt!
sounded like a simple task! it would shift just fine for about a week, than it would act-up all over again!
i hope Kawi has made improvements since then.
it's Polaris for me! no regrets, no headaches!
