14mins~

She runs, awesome! Thanks for asking. I haven't cammed it yet, but that will get done later this month, and then some tranny work.

The power...well it's unbelievable. It improved it all the way through my powerband, bottom is really killer, Mid range is also alot more responsive. I haven't checked out top end yet...figured I'd get the rings seated over the 4th..so next time out, she'll get some serious topend testing. I didn't know if I'd loose top end running 11.5:1 compression, but with the the current CDI, the grizz wont do over 70 anyways. In low range, it hits the limiter in mere seconds (which on my speedo shows 38mph) I run without the anti sway bar, so my rear suspension flexes all the way...from a stand still, running 27" Tri Claws, I can wheely it at will. I haven't tried a rolling wheely yet, but will this coming weekend. I suspect if I put the anti sway bar back on, and limit the rear suspension's articulation, it will be even more so. I love the power...it's addicting, and I'm already thinking about what should come next. <LOL> I raced my brother in laws modded zilla over the forth...and in low range, with 4X4 I can hole shot him....but just before I get to my low range limiter, he does go by at about...oh warp 24 or something. I suspect my next upgrade for the Grizzly will be works shocks all the way around. With the increase in power, it's becoming apparent the stock suspension isn't up to the task of handling it, so it will likely be shocks next. It's no Raptor, but it is one bad 4X4. Oh...I'm running an HMF pipe....and really like it so far.

Silverbear- I would like to see you in a 660ft drag with you 4x4 buddies. You should be a sport and spot them 50 ft at the start.

<LOL> I would like that too..although don't know many that will even bother. Hopefully over the jamboree in Wallace, we'll get some video of the drags...still don't know how they break the classes up.

Silver Bear ,
I am little confused, you sound like a stock 660 is kind of lazy quad, BUT 686,which is 26 ????? cc's more is a "killer" etc. Am I missing something......

Colt~

Hmm..no I never intended to insinuate that the stock 660 is "lazy" by any stretch of the imagination. It's an excellent engine, with great power, and tons of untapped potential. HOWEVER, a 686 is not simply a few more cc's by virtue of boring out your cylinder by .080....it's a "package" which includes things such as a high compression piston (my compression is 11.5:1, stock 660 is 9.1:1), easier breathing intake, better flowing exhuast, blueprinted/ported/polished head, valve work, cammed, etc....that's where the power increase comes from. Ask any Raptor owner how a "686" Raptor compares to a "660" Raptor...and I wouldn't consider a 660 Raptor lazy either.

Silverbear,
I know you have never said the G660 is lazy....I just made it up...and I knew you'd respond.
Thank's for your explanation.

When you get "done" you're just gonna have to get that bear on a treadmill to see what she's doing. I'll put mine on a treadmill eventually too, I haven't figured wheather I'm gonna do the bloody high compression 660 version yet, or go bigger.
