I have been doing some reading on Extreme Garage and saw that the Bomb guys are having a "Midwest Ds Days" over the course of Aug 29, 30, 31 and Sept 1 at Silver Lake, Michigan Dunes ride area.

Thinking about it for awhile and discussing it with a couple of DS guys who were planning to attend, I thought, shoot why not, let's see if us midwest guys can have our own "miniature 4 stroke wars".

Us Midwest guys need to do something too. Not all of us can pack up and drive down to So CA on MLK weekend.

We need to see who in the Midwest has got the power! I'm sure the Ds-760 crowd would be happy to see some Craptor's and others be there!
I thought since there will be all those DS riders there, let's make it a "bit more fun".

So what do you all think? Can we get enough 4-strokers out there to make it one he!! of a weekend? I personally would only be able to do a Saturday 31st and Sunday 1st riding, so?

Tim O'neill motorsports is having Quad Drags with "Prizes" on thier new quad drag strip in Council Bluffs, IA. which is right next to Omaha, NE.
This will be held July 20-21st. There will be a 300' dragstrip with a lighttree. There will also be timed mud drags in a bog. Also a quad tracker pull with a sled and everything. This will turn into a biweekly thing. I sure hope some SandPigs show up to make it interesting. I don't wanna spend all day beatin down Z400's that'll get boring after awhile.The place

 

If I have a motor I will be there! I think it would be great for the mid west "forum" guys to meet.

Well, I guess I will go ride with the Bomb folks all by myself. Looks like the Midwest people either aren't interested or they just don't come to this forum.

I was really thinking that there would have been more interest.

GEEZ, sorry for the outrage, but I am just astonished by the lack of enthusiasm of the Midwest folks.

Oh well, like I said before. I will go be the loner Rap out there and have fun at Midwest DS Days! Hopefully, there won't be too many "really high strung 760's out there". I do want to be able to put the whooopin on a few with my new motor (hehe)!

Don't worry I will back you up! I just have to get my raptor dialed in and I will be more than happy to take on some of those ds guys! We can be the two man raptor gang! LOL But you have a good point. I am planning to move out west for that simple reason! I need to ride in the dunes where there are nutz like me that love to ride!

 

I'm up for gettin' out there. Don't think I'll be doing any racing with a nearly stock raptor though, or at least look forward to beating anybody.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img] lol.

Alljuice, I am glad someone wants to ride with the "lone Craptor" (me) and the Ds guys. I believe that with the motors you and I have, there aren't going to be too many Bomb folk to beat us.

2fiftyX, nice! Another Rap stepping up to the plate! I am sure that there will be a fair share of piped and DS's for you to run against. Atleast you will and all of us will see for our own eyes how these two stack up on equal modifications.

Let's keep in touch here and see if we can't create a bit more excitement with the the other Midwest 4-strokers. I can't wait!

What about the Honda guys? No 465's out there? I have heard some good things about well built 465's and would like to see a couple of them run.

I'm positive that a few of my 2-smoke boys will be coming as well, just to see how well a modified 4-stroker can hang!

No more Rap owners in the Midwest? Geez, all of these Rap owners I help day in and day out and none live in the Midwest? Huh?

I wonder if I can talk Marty into coming with his Turbo Rap, that should be interesting to see. 727 Rap vs.(+) 760 Bomb vs.(+) Turbo Rap (= major HP) Probably around 190 - 210? (with 3 cylinders, 8 intake valves, 6 exhaust valves and 4 cams) WOW!
