I can't find a service manual, and the crappy owners manual doesn't show what the valve clerance should be set at!

I guess I am goeing to have to call a zuk dealer to find out. Valve adj is routine maintinance, so why don't they put that info in the manual?

Hate to knock Suzuki, but Honda manuals put Suzuki's to shame.

Just griped cause I have aprox. 50 hrs on my Z, and it's past time for a valve adj, and the manual keeps it a secret.

Later...

Ya, I need a manual too. Probably not going to be one available for a while. I think a couple guys were talking about getting one from the dealer. If anyone has one now could you put some of the more important info like this up on the net for us to see?

Here's the part # for the service manual 99500-43060-01E.
I ordered mine two weeks ago from the dealer but its still not here. You can find the # on suzuki's website under FAQ.

He couldnt get an exact price, suzuki was closed at the time. so he took the average of suzuki manuals and came up with 59.99 for the time being. but im sure that will change when it shows up

The owner's manual may not go into valve adjustment, because it will require some disassembly and shim measurement/replacement if the clearances are not to spec. Not the kind of maintenance coverage you generally find in onboard manuals.

If its fairly detailed i'm going to do the same.

I took mine into the dealership for that on it's first service. I figure that way I'm safe and can keep my warrantee. From here on out though, I'm doing it all myself.
peace
