First Raptor Mods

I want to unrestrict my raptor(jetting+ intake) and want to know what you guys think I should do. I am keeping my stock exhaust, and I don't want to spend too much $$$. I am thinking a dynojet kit, cut the restricted snorkel, and maybe open the airbox lid a bit. Any other/better suggestions for more power and snap? I ride 500 feet and lower( my house is under 200 feet elevation)
Also, I know the jet kit doesn't come with pilots, should I use 25, or 27.5's, or just turn out the fuel screws? On my 400ex, it ran lean(even stock) so I turned out the fuel screw and it helped with starting, and low-end response slightly. Many people used bigger pilots though, and was wondering if the raptor has the same thing. I would do it on the raptor, but you have to take the plastic+tank+carbs to do it. Not very efficent.
So, please let me know what your experiences have been like with the dynojet kit and intake restriction removed.

wheeliedude i don't think you are going to mod enough to worry about the pilot jets just yet. i would just let more air into the intake and go up on mains.you can also remove the spark arrestor from the stock pipe.my opinion is it is not going to do a whole lot to let more air in but not out. If your going to let more air in you need to let more air out. you can do as spacollie says and go down a tooth on the counter sprocket or up a tooth on the back sprocket but the counter sprocket is alot cheaper then he rear one so i would recommend changing the counter sprocket before the back one. this will give you a little more low end but you will loose a little top end.just my 2 cents

The Dynojet kit doesn't need new pilots. I had a ProDesign billet adapter/K&N/Outerwear with a Dynojet kit, no holes in the lid, stock pipe, and the difference was VERY noticable. More power and it comes on quicker. The jet kit is the first mod you need to do anyway since the Raptor comes lean from the factory. You can add a pipe later and you already have the necessary jets in the kit (it comes with 10 main jets). The Dynojet instructions are very detailed about what you need to do, and include altitude instructions and where to set the fuel screws. I don't know anybody that hasn't been happy with the Dynojet setup; i know a few that wished they would have done it sooner. The Dynojet setup (and following the directions about cutting the snorkle) are good for 3-4 HP at least. After the jet kit if you want more power, then it's on to a new pipe.

Thanks guys. I am already changing to a 12 tooth c/s sproket because i'm running 22" tires for ground clearence. I may even try a 42/43 rear. With the pipe, I'm gonna take out the s/a and punch some holes in the internal baffel plate, and modify the s/a and put it back in. I did this with my 400ex, and it made a noticable difference. And the dynojet kit sounds good to me, so I should get some decent throttle response+power for not too much money. I notice when I stab the throttle, it hesitates for a second then the power kicks in. Not good for wheelies. The 400ex had instant snap, good for wheelies, just not nearly the same power/speed of the raptor. I'm impressed so far with the raptor. Thanks again for the replies.
