Well heres the Skinny. I was changing the oil in the 01 Raptor, got that done. I was checking the water pump and had a little running out.
Seemed to have fixed that. I revved it up and a puff of exhaust came out from under the gas tank. So I look by the headers and inbetween the headers I see oil comin out not much just drops. What have I done to my machine. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.
Thanks, Zombie

In some motors overfilling the oil will cause oil pressure to become excessive forcing it into the cylinder through valve seals or other various routes. I dont know if this is the case with the Raptor as well but maybe you should simply check the oil level after running the machine for a few minutes. Also ensure you used the proper motor oil and filter.

zombie660 when i chainged my oil i filled the tank ran it for a few secs and filled it to the line on the dipstick again. i rode it around for about 10 minutes and checked it again when i took the oil dipstick out oil ran out of the tank allover the place thus realizing i had it overfilled.you have to let the engine get up to operating temperature for some reason there is alot of oil that sits in the engine somewhere so make sure when you get your engine hot then check to make sure you haven't overfilled it.

I dropped it off to the Shop just now. The Dude can't figure it out either, of course their going to have rip it apart. Rob, I have a pingry oil tank and when I put the oil in I started it after I put the first 2 quarts. I don't think I overfilled it, maybe. I guess I'll let the shop figure it out. I'll keep you all posted, thanks Guys.
